The Directors of Sustainable UK are Neil Franks and James Christiaan Dignan.

How is Sustainable UK Limited sustainable?
Sustainable UK Limited is run from Neil & Jimmy's homes and therefore does not fall under the Sustainable UK Sustainable Standard for Companies & Organisations.
We of course take our responsibilities seriously and have each taken the Sustainable Standard for Individuals, which can be downloaded in our respective pages (linked on the left hand side).
However we have also created a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, which can be viewed on the left hand side. We aim to build on our CSR continually and are always happy to hear any suggestions you may have on our forum.
There are a number of reasons why Sustainable UK Limited has been set-up:
• There may be many organisations providing advice on various ways to become more environmentally-friendly, but there is very little in the way of lateral thinking.
• Pressure groups are only interested in headlines and lead people to becoming more extremist.
• There is also a growing tendency by the marketing machine to ‘green-wash,’ which is to do with manipulating the truth about how environmentally-friendly a product or service is.
• The media has not managed to provide useful and informative advice on how individuals, companies and organisations can become more sustainable, or done much to expose the corporations responsible for poverty and serious environmental degradation.
Sustainable UK Limited will look provide an alternative advice to individuals, companies & organisations and how they can become more sustainable, which will be primarily be done in three ways:
• Sustainable Standards & free-to-use self-assessment spreadsheets.
• A website providing advice on the various sustainability issues.
• An on-line forum to discuss issues and share ideas.
Financing Sustainable UK Limited
Any money raised by Sustainable UK Limited will be used to pay our expenses, pay off the company debts and be re-invested in order to continually improve the service we provide.
We will be looking to raise funds in two main ways:
1. Certifying companies & organisations as sustainable under a mark which will become a household brand.
2. Online advertising of sustainable companies & organisations.
3. Other possible methods of raising funds will be look at case by case, and discussed with online community.
Who runs Sustainable UK Limited?
Sustainable UK Limited has two directors Jimmy Dignan and Neil Franks, and a company secretary Julia Dignan.
Jimmy & Neil came up with the initial idea for Sustainable UK Limited back in late 2003. and decided to go ahead with developing a website and a online forum. Since then we have started our website and online forum. We have recently updated our website, which looks more stylish and professional. We have also spent a lot of time on developing the sustainable standards for the individual and general companies & organisations. However it does not stop there as we have lot’s ideas we are working on.
