Download the Standard

 

Initially it is only required that you download the Standard. This is a spreadsheet with fourteen sheets, one introducing the standard, the following twelve assesses different sections of sustainability and the final sheet is a summary of the standard you are currently achieving and how you have performed in each section.

It is worth downloading a copy of the Guidance (a pdf file) as it will help you to fill in Sustainable UK Standard spreadsheet and possibly answer any contention you may come across.

The Certificate Request Form is when you are happy with Sustainable Standard and you would like to become certified. Please see the ‘Process to Certification’ webpage, which provides details to make process as smooth as possible.

 

Help with the Standard

 

The 'Transport Miles Staff Guide' spreadsheet is for use by the staff to work out how many miles they travel to work, travel whilst at work and travel on their journey home. Obviously the distances may vary from day to day and an average should be taken.

The 'Staff Transport Miles Analysis' spreadsheet is a way of taking the information in the 'Transport Miles Staff Guides' so the company as a whole can be assessed.

 

Certification Form

It’s important to understand how a company or organisation becomes certified:

• One example might be: if a company has one building – then one certificate is required.

• Another example might be: If a company has numerous buildings (offices, factories, warehouses, etc) then they can each go for a standard separately and therefore each will require a certificate. Alternatively, if the entire business is assessed collectively then the entire business can come under one certificate.

Please note that if all buildings are assessed collectively then ONLY the worst-case standard for any one building can be used to represent the company or organisation as a whole.

Please be aware that you can not use the Sustainable UK logos or icons for advertising your sustainable credentials until you have become certified.

 

 

Feedback Form

At Sustainable UK Limited, we don’t believe for a second that we don’t have everything perfect yet. We do have some ideas that we would like to implement, but these take time, (wo)man-power & often finances.
