How Certification for a company/organisation happens (for one or more buildings):

• One example might be: if a company has one building – then one certificate is required.

• Another example might be: If a company has numerous buildings (offices, factories, warehouses, etc) then they can each go for a standard separately and therefore each will require a certificate. Alternatively, if the entire business is assessed collectively then the entire business can come under one certificate.

Please note that if all buildings are assessed collectively then ONLY the worst-case standard for any one building can be used to represent the company or organisation as a whole.

The Sustainable Standard only looks at your company or organisation's operations and NOT the product or service you provide.

 

Using the Sustainable UK Logo & Icons

Please be aware that you can ONLY not use the Sustainable UK logos or icons for advertising your sustainable credentials when you have become certified by Sustainable UK Limited and ONLY with the written permission of a director of Sustainable UK Limited.

If certification is withdrawn then all certificate(s) or electronic images associated with Sustainable UK Limited must be taken out of the public domain within fifteen working days.

 

Minimum Ethical Standard Required

It is required that your company or organisation is not involved in the direct exploitation of people and/or planet, and NOT have any knowledge that any supplier, customer or other stakeholder is involved in the direct exploitation of people and/or planet. If your company is involved in any such activity then certification will be withdrawn.

 

Sustainbale UK Limited

Sustainable UK Limited reserves the right to withdraw certification of the Sustainable Standard at any time. Sustainable UK Limited will provide a reason for withdrawal of the Sustainable UK standard certification within fifteen working days.
