Advice

Wondering how you can surprise your partner then why not think about giving them some roses. Not just any roses though, FAIRTRADE roses from Kenya, which have the Fairtrade Foundation status.
The roses will ensure that all workers are paid a fair wage and also that an 8% premium fund will be invested into social projects to improve their communities.
Tesco is currently the only supermarket to be stocking fairtrade roses, so you can either pick them up when you are shopping or purchase them (and have them delivered) using their online shop.
If you have anymore questions regarding fairtrade roses then it is worth visiting the Fairtrade Foundation website (located in the links on the right). They have a questions and answers in a pdf file that you can view.
Other Sustainable Considerations
Once the roses have withered away, then why not put them in your compost bin as their nutrients will be recycled back into the soil.
