There are literally thousands of volunteering opportunities all over the UK, which can benefit yourself and others. Every volunteering position is an opportunity to learn new skills and gain new experiences.

When you locate a volunteering position that you think suites your interests and strengths then there are some things you should consider:
Get in touch with the organisation and talk with someone about what the volunteer position will involve. Don't forget to ask about training, responsibilities, commitment level and any other concerns you might have.
Whilst you are not tied into any kind of contract with the volunteering organisation, it is worth seriously considering whether you can spare the time and provide the commitment needed.
