There is an increasing number of recycling points that are able to collect plastic bottles.
It should also be noted that only plastic bottles are collected, such as milk bottles, Soft drinks bottles and other similar bottles. Other plastic containers such as margarine tubs or packaging like cling-film will not be recycled.
As with glass and metal cans it is worth giving the plastic bottles a rinse with your dish water after you have finished the dishes. This helps to solve an environmental problem without creating another one.
It is also worth crushing the bottles before placing them in your recycling bin as this will improve the economics of recycling plastics.
